This privacy notice applies to personal information collected through the Balance is Better website (www.balanceisbetter.org.nz), a website initiative by Sport New Zealand (Sport NZ).

PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not collect personal information on this site unless you choose to give it to us, or the collection is permitted under the Privacy Act 1993.
There are a few places on the site where you can choose to give us personal information, such as emailing an inquiry to us, and subscribing to our newsletters.
We do not collect identifiable information about you if you only browse our website. While the Balance is Better website uses cookies to collect data about browsing patterns and related statistics, this does not allow us to identify individuals or to gain personal information about site users. If you wish, you can remove cookies from your computer. Full details of all data that is captured is below.

TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED WHEN SIGNING UP WITH EMAIL

We offer alternative Sign Up (registration) methods including Facebook API and Google API. If you choose to register using one of these options, we will collect, store, and use in accordance with this Privacy Policy any and all information you agreed that Facebook or Google could provide to BalanceisBetter.org.nz through its API.

Your agreement (and our access to your information) takes place when you instruct, accept or allow Facebook or Google to register you for a BalanceisBetter.org.nz account or otherwise connect to BalanceisBetter.org.nz through Facebook or Google.

The information BalanceisBetter.org.nz may access, collect and store may include the following, among other information, as allowed by you, Facebook or Google’s API and your Facebook or Google privacy settings:

You can control the information that we receive from Facebook or Google and stop sharing this information with us at any time by removing the website link to BalanceisBetter.org.nz through the privacy settings on your Facebook or Google account.

Sport NZ uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so

  • To monitor the usage of our Service

Sport NZ will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes.
